Aren't they neat? I was googling around for carousel art references and came across the patterns for these guys.
They are on the Canon/Creative Park website. Each one has about 50 pieces and takes a lot of patience! (Not my strong suit!)
The saddle blankets are from 'Elegant Edges", the saddles are from Old West (flipped and welded on my G). The little flourish on the saddle is from 'Birthday Cakes" The roof of the carousel is a flower from 'Mothers day bouquet!. Score between each petal to the center point; cut one of those score lines, over lap one petal and you get a great roof.
The floor is concentric circles (again using my G) which I inked (I wanted the look of a well loved & much ridden carousel). The center decor is Imaginisce paper 'Ocean Motion'. The swirl above is from elegant edges.
My imaginisce products; Loads & loads of i-rock bling; Lady Bug Ball paper for the roof; also several of the saddle blankets are done with imaginisce paper; and my favorite thing today; the decoration going around the roof is I - Top brads.
an inexpensive turntable from a kitchen store so it really spins!
There are over 2,400 stones and studs on this!!!!
And as always please feel free to ask me anything, I'm sorry if I missed telling you anything, (Don't ask how long!- My 'real project this month is carving 32 Big Tiki masks and that is taking what seems like FOREVER!)
