So when the Cricut Circle members got together a house, mini & charm swap, not only was I in, I knew my house had to be an SVGCuts house.
Dilemma... They are designed as 'paper' houses and our swap was for paper mâché/ chipboard houses (available in most big-box craft stores)
So my design needed to be super sturdy...
And I wanted it to have drawers...
Dilemma number two... Which style of house? SVGCuts has quite a few. When faced with this one, I decided not to choose, but to do both houses that I purchased the files for... Lighthouse Keepers Quarters ( I LOVE the roof on this one) and Maple Manor.. (Leo's trailer for this is awesome!)
So MM is done in chipboard, and I tried LKQ done in foam board (which is hand cut with an knife)
Both bases have been extended to allow me to add drawers.
The LKQ Winter house started out as a gingerbread house
But truly, I got bored, and thought, what if it were in an enchanted forest and animals lived there. The animals and candy are Cricut cuts... The Explore does a beautiful job with tiny things.
Maple Manor was a delight from start to finish!
There are a lot of pieces, so if you decide to create this, stay organized ( I am SO not an organized person... Things go flying when I'm creating!)
There are so many details and surprises on this one I will write another post with as much as I can tell you...
